Jason (Jay) Krawczyk
is the founder and owner of Functional Innovative Training. A life-long athlete, Jay committed his career to personal training seven years ago. Jay received his Personal Trainer certification from the American Council of Exercise (ACE) in 2005 and completed course work to certify as a Russian Kettlebell Instructor (RKC) in 2011.  Jay is also qualified in Functional Movement Screening (FMS), Training for Warriors (TFW), TRX Suspension, RIP Instruction, and Precision Nutrition (PNC).

Jay’s passion for fitness is personal. He is a committed, professional natural bodybuilder (no steroids or drugs). This sport is not usually known for flexibility and fluid movement. By improving his own movement patterns, Jay was been able to stay injury-free while competing in twelve natural bodybuilding competitions, winning his class twice. (see competition photos)

Jay is always looking for ways to improve, continually bringing new knowledge to the individual fitness goals of his clients. Certified, skilled teachers are necessary for safely directed personal training. Jay brings a breadth of knowledge to each session, and continues to inspire his clients with new techniques to help them attain their goals safely.

Jay’s Philosophy on Personal Training:

Whatever your goal, train for that goal safely.

Personal Training is a sport and your trainer is your "coach". Exercise without proper guidance is like having a coach that leads a team to the court and says, “Go play.” Without personalized attention to improve and follow rules, players are not prepared for the game and can get hurt. An effective coach builds good habits through repetitive movement using different drills to develop a skill-set. Through practice players are able to evolve weaknesses into strengths and translate these skills into effective game-playing.

Effective personal training or “coaching” works to boost your mobility, strength, stability, and flexibility. Personal training is customized to your specific level in order to safely guide you to your goals. My clients’ goals are varied. I have worked with athletes training for a specific sport or season, clients with injuries and illnesses, fellow bodybuilders looking to put on size, and many others trying to tone up and lose weight. Whatever your goal, I will guide you to attain it safely.
