Although I don't have the most physically demanding job, I do need upper body strength and a lot of endurance. I am a violinist in the Boston Symphony. Long hours of rehearsal and many concerts require a lot of smooth, functional movement. Since I started working with Jay 3 years ago, I have noticed a huge improvement in a number of areas. The first being my ability to recover from demanding playing. It also helps that I have lost almost 2 clothing sizes since starting!! I am hoping and working towards another 2 sizes! Jay has a unique ability to actually listen to clients. He is incredibly knowledgable about the body,and how to improve it. He is a sweet man that has changed my body, and my health all for the better!!

When I first starting training with Jay about a year ago I didn’t know a TRX from a t-rex and could barely do a wall push up.  I was fairly certain I wouldn’t be able to make any progress and would quit this form of exercise in short order.  Jay’s enthusiasm, knowledge, and belief in me changed that negative attitude and certainly changed my body and my level of fitness.  One of the best things Jay ever said to me was that I needed to trust him until I trusted myself.  No truer words were ever spoken with respect to my struggle with my weight and my lack of faith that I could ever be in a shape that wasn’t round.  Now, I’m down 40 pounds, 3 pants sizes, have noticeable muscle tone and can do many, many things I thought I’d never be able to do (one armed TRX rows, anyone?).  If you’re in no shape, somewhat out of shape, or even a very fit person, you will benefit from Jay’s instruction, support, and highly specific and varied training sessions.  I know this may sound a bit cliché, but training with Jay has changed my life.  Friends have been inspired to take up exercise again after seeing the physical and psychological changes in me since meeting Jay.  I can’t imagine anyone else for my personal trainer; he’s the real deal.
